Job Description
We are looking for a senior-level Backend Developer to contribute to the backend architecture and development of a new product using JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js. You’ll play a key role in building a scalable backend architecture and API, supporting a SaaS deployment model. As part of a collaborative, agile team, you will have a direct impact on the technical direction of the project. While the focus is on backend development, a basic understanding of frontend technologies is also a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain a high-performance backend using JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.
- Implement APIs and integrations, utilizing Express.js and OpenAPI.
- Work on database integration and data management.
- Contribute to CI/CD processes, including GitHub Actions for automation.
- Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of the backend, adhering to best practices.
Required Experience
- 3+ years of backend development experience.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and Express.js.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and experience with database integration.
- Experience building web APIs (OpenAPI experience is a plus).
- Experience with Git (GitHub and GitHub Actions is a plus).
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
Desirable Experience
- Experience with SaaS-based products and cloud environments.
- Experience with container orchestration systems like Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with frontend technologies like React.
- Knowledge of PHP (as we have other products using PHP).
